Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc. is led by Andy Marion and Mick Marion, managing partners of the firm, who are supported by a seasoned senior staff of highly accomplished professionals.
Andrew J. Marion,
Senior Partner
 
Andrew J. Marion leads Michael E. Marion & Associates’ consulting practice and focuses on senior-level search engagements for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics and consumer product sectors. Since joining the firm in 1993, Andy has been instrumental in building the firm’s healthcare practice, leading consulting teams on all engagements for the past 20 years. He has also been responsible for the development of numerous highly successful, long-term client relationships with both Fortune 100 companies as well as specialty pharmaceutical and biotech clients. These have included such organizations as Merck & Co., Johnson & Johnson, Roche/Genentech, Novartis, Astellas, Exelixis, Asubio Pharma, PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.
 
Prior to joining Michael E. Marion & Associates, Andy spent several years with Bristol-Myers Squibb in its commercial organization working with key products in the Cardiovascular, CNS and Infectious Disease therapeutic areas.
 
Andy graduated from the University of Delaware with a BA in Political Science. He is active in community affairs, serving as a board member and youth coach for various sports over the past 10 years. He is currently President of Watchung Hills Pop Warner Little Scholars, part of the National Pop Warner Little Scholars Organization, which is the oldest youth sports organization in the country. Andy is also involved in volunteer and fundraising activities in support of children’s organizations, and he is currently working to establish Pop Warner’s Challenger program for children with special needs in the Warren, New Jersey area.
Michael C. Marion,
Senior Partner
 
Michael C. ("Mick") Marion leads Michael E. Marion & Associates as the Senior Partner responsible for General Management of the firm, which includes general search process management and leadership of all day-to-day administration, human resources, legal and information technology activities. Since joining in 1995, he also serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the organization, accountable for the firm’s fiscal health and financial reporting.
 
Before joining Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc., Mick spent several years with Conti Enterprises, Inc. He worked within the engineering and estimating division at Conti, where he was responsible for pricing and planning bid specifications on various federal and state-level projects.
 
Mick graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from SUNY, ESF – Syracuse University in 1989. He has long been active in community affairs, and is an elected Township Committeeman in Warren, New Jersey, where his responsibilities include oversight of the Township’s finances which are rated Aa1 as well as the liaison to the local businesses, township schools, recreation and environmental committees. Mick’s past Executive Board roles have included fundraising for the Lord Stirling School for Disadvantaged Children, and he has acted as Treasurer of the Watchung Hills Pop Warner Little Scholars part of the National Pop Warner Little Scholars Organization. Mick also devotes his time as a football and lacrosse coach in youth sports leagues.

John L. Leone, - Vice President
John joined Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc. in 2000 and is responsible for a broad range of research, information management, recruiting, candidate development, project execution, business development, and accounts management activity. Prior to joining the firm, John was the Managing Director of Cogent Financial Associates, a diversified commercial finance and business consulting organization focusing primarily on the asset-based capital funding needs of companies in the small- to mid-sized business sector. John also has more than eight years of international business consultation experience with Kline & Company, a leading industrial consulting firm, where he was responsible for management and growth of strategic consulting practices in the polymers, materials and related chemical process industries. John began his career with National Starch & Chemical Corporation, where he led a project group in the development of innovative specialty chemical products servicing the paper, energy, pharmaceutical and other industries. John received his MBA/Finance & Marketing from Rutgers University and holds a BS/ChE-Chem from Lehigh University.
William D. Cordivari, - Vice President
William joined Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc. in 2011 with 25+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Bill spent most of his career at Johnson & Johnson, where he progressed through international marketing, sales management, and business development to become President of the Ortho Dermatology business unit. After Johnson & Johnson, Bill was the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at INO Therapeutics (Ikaria), a global critical care company. He was a key member of the executive team that led the sale of the company to a private equity group. Bill’s experience spans large, medium and small pharmaceutical, device and biologics companies. He has a B.A. degree in Biology from Villanova University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Widener University.
Caitlin Hadtke Gagnon, - Senior Associate
Caitlin joined Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc. in 2010 after spending five years at Deloitte Consulting, primarily in the Healthcare Practice as a Senior Consultant and Manager. At Deloitte, Caitlin consulted to hospital systems, as well as to a number of major pharmaceutical companies. Prior work experience includes four years in advertising as an Account Executive, first at Chiat/Day Advertising, then at The Idea Brewing Company. Caitlin graduated with an AB degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Dartmouth College, during which time she worked for three years at The Dartmouth Medical School conducting protein research. Before joining Deloitte Consulting, she earned her MBA at The Harvard Business School.
Diane Romanick, - Management Associate
Diane joined Michael E. Marion & Associates in 2003 with 17+ years of corporate administrative experience and is responsible for the oversight of a variety of functions including management of search project submissions, contract review & implementation process, candidate/client scheduling coordination and management of all administrative support staff. Prior to joining Michael E. Marion & Associates, Diane began her career with The Prudential Insurance Company of America, where she held various roles of increasing responsibility supporting executives and officers of the company in areas such as audit, compliance, investigations, individual insurance and demutualization. Diane received her AAS degree from Middlesex County College and is also a certified Paralegal.
Irene Padkowsky, - Research Associate
Irene joined Michael E. Marion & Associates in 2011. Her responsibilities include the identification and execution of search strategies based upon the job position by creatively conducting research using various sources, procuring lead generations and conducting research to source qualified candidates for job searches. She is also involved in candidate qualification, candidate interviewing, creating weekly candidate review charts and compiling candidate background information for client use. Irene received her BS degree in Biology from The College of New Jersey.
